Please join us for a hands-on creative photography workshop on Wednesday, February 19th.
Plan to take photos of a variety of objects with your cell phone or camera. It’s an opportunity to zone in on your indoor lighting skills and collaborate and trade techniques with other members. Whether you want to shoot macro, close-up, or try your hand at impressionism, the end result of your photo creation is up to you! We will have a variety of items to photograph, but feel free to bring an item with you to add to the collection.
Our meeting begins at 7:30 PM at the Christian Church of Arlington Heights, 333 W. Thomas St., Arlington Heights, IL.

The program for our November 20 meeting will feature Post Processing Tips & Techniques presented by Mort Lerman. Mort is a long-time member of the Arlington Camera Club and, as he says, he’s been taking photos for “a long time”.
The meeting begins at 7:30 PM at the Christian Church of Arlington Heights, 333 W. Thomas, Arlington Heights, IL.
Scott McNeill, a Northshore Camera Club member, will provide a presentation on photography during the wintertime.
When it is really cold outside, and you would prefer to be inside by the fire…”
The presentation will provide insights as to how to have some fun and make creative images in the cold. And there will be a discussion about photographic possibilities and photography gear and clothing needed.
Come see some of Scott’s winter images and listen to his insights, and share yours, about what and how to photograph subjects in the cold.
The presentation will start at 7:30 pm, doors open at 7:00 pm.
ACC Member, Fred Gold, will present a program on Sreet Photography at our next meeting.
Fred will discuss the difference between Portrait, Nature, Architectural, and Street Photography. After experimenting with the different classifications he has specialized in Street Photography for many years. At the current time, he has a solo exhibit at the North Shore Senior Center for the months of September and October using an unusual method of displaying the images. Fred will be showing some of his images as examples and for discussion.
The presentation begins at 7:30 pm and guests are welcome to attend.
We are happy to announce Mike Caplan’s presentation to our first meeting of the season!
Whether it is a shoot for Christian Dior Cosmetics, Fifth Third Bank, or a bird in mid-air, Mike Caplan’s eye for lighting and composition is distinctive and compelling. Extensive training has made him an expert with off-camera flash. Equally at home on location or in the studio, Mike’s technical skills are exceeded only by his ability to interact with people. His 30 years of broadcasting experience have made him a consummate communicator – a key to evoking natural and often whimsical expressions from his portrait clients.
The Arlington Camera Club was formed in 1988 to promote photography and improve the photographic skills of its members.
